ONE TEAM, ONE PROGRAM, ALL UNITED

Every period of time the Ministry of Education of Taiwan sends representatives to all the universities in Taiwan in order to evaluate their programs. During this year’s visit, our program will be evaluated and counseled in many different aspects. Since the Taiwanese government financially supports NCKU’s IMBA program and since most of the international students are granted the opportunity to study in Taiwan through Taiwanese scholarships and fellowships, the outcomes and results of this visit are very important to our program.
The IMBA department involved the international students by requesting their help in developing the documentation and in learning the basics of our program. This semester other students and I had the opportunity to lead and be part of the group that was in charge of activities related to the program of the Ministry of Education (MOE). The MOE Group team consists of 13 members from Bolivia, India, Cambodia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Bangladesh. All of us are working on the report that will help the committee assess the value of our program for Taiwan, for the government, and for NCKU.
Being part of the team made us learn and realize the importance of some things that, most of the time, are not really considered or appreciated by other students. Our program has a lot of goals and ideas that are professional and solid. Now that our program is making a big change for our future, we as the students have the duty to help it along. If we all work together by educating ourselves about the basic information of our program, and then promote it, our program will be better able to create strong roots to maintain our excellence and prestige inside Taiwan and around the world.
