These are the compiled minutes from all of the Student Council meetings from November 2007 through April 2008. There is documentation of all events and planning efforts involved for each stage of council developments. Enjoy!
May 6, 2008:
This meeting was a discussion of preliminary Graduation and Farewell Party ideas and logistics. There was a report as to some of the planned meetings for each team as well as requests for assistance in the planning and organizing phases of the projects. Also included was a brief overview of areas in which the Student Council had wanted to complete tasks, but had failed to do so. Finally the areas of Internships, Alumni Network and Web-page issues were addressed in the follow-up section.
May 13, 2008:
This meeting contained a discussion about the direction of the student council, an update on graduation, the farewell party, the AACSB mentor’s visit, student council website articles, and the dragon boat festival. The new projects that the council will be hosting or supporting, namely: Michael Turton’s lecture on publishing tips and Fili Feldman’s tutorial on tools available on incku and how to use them to make thesis writing easier. Finally, we discussed our involvement with Tainan Science park and some initial projects to build those connections with industry. Download the complete minutes here:
May 20, 2008:
This meeting was basically spent on discussing and planning the farewell party and the graduation. There was however brief mention of some upcoming speeches and the latest update for the dragon boat team.
May 27, 2008:
This meeting was continuing out discussion and planning of the farewell party and graduation. We also briefly discussed the Alumni Association and some other very minor projects: how to host blogs of students, the latest designs from shirts, as well as fundraising issues.
