Graduation for the Class of ‘08 (Year 97 in Taiwan)
May 4th, 2008 | By jasonlin | Category: Activities, Council News
To the seniors, congratulations!
To the juniors, we’re going to be seniors really really soon…
Before all this happens we need to square away a few things. Let’s start with the administrative thing:
For juniors, the final deadline for student fees, i.e. the last day late fees will be accepted, is Monday, May 12th, 2008. As a reminder, student fees are NT$3000 and, for extenuating circumstances, special arrangements may be made with your friendly neighborhood student council member; for contact information go to “Council Members” in the menu at the top. These fees are mandatory. Failure to pay these fees will result in exclusion from: this year’s graduation ceremony, this year’s farewell party, next year’s welcome party, next year’s holiday party, next year’s graduation ceremony, next year’s farewell party, and any informal events hosted by the student council now and in the future. We apologize for this inconvenience. We don’t like collecting these fees any more than you enjoy paying for them.
Now for the fun thing:
The graduation ceremony and the farewell party are being planned right this second, maybe not right this second but pretty recently. We’ll need a bit of participation from everyone to make this go smoothly. We’ve created two forms, one for seniors and one for juniors, for information we need for the events. They’re listed under “Forms” in the menu at the top of the page and at the end of this post. Completing the appropriate form before the 12th of this month will make everyone’s life, but especially the Council’s event planners’ lives, easier.
In summary, to sign up for the graduation ceremony and the farewell party:
- your student fees need to be paid,
- and the appropriate form needs to be filled out,
- by the 12th.
Sincerely,
Jason Lin
